Creating Rangoli Patterns for Diwali With Kids – Creative Sand

Creating Rangoli Patterns for Diwali With Kids

With Diwali coming up, we wanted to write about the beautiful Rangoli art that can be done with coloured sand. All you will need is a chalk and coloured sand.

Diwali is a Hindu festival with lights held in the period of Oct to Nov & associated with Lakshmi, who is the goddess of prosperity.

First, draw a symmetrical pattern with white chalk on the ground outside.

In India, Rangoli is displayed before the home entrance.

If you have a group of creative kids, get them involved and give each child a cup with coloured sand and instruct them where to sprinkle it to make a complete colourful picture. Once done, it will look gorgeous with all the bright colours. Happy Diwali!
